Two magical weeks in October 2024 in the heart of Tuscany’s olive groves at Fattoria La Vialla— the Italian Demeter farm I entered with the intention of solitude, work and introspection—unexpectedly became a journey of rediscovering my own sensuality and inner connection. While I had prepared myself for quiet days alone, I was met with beautiful encounters: with the stunning landscape, with kindred spirits, and most profoundly, with myself and my creative practice.

This residency became a sanctuary for reconnection. The golden light of Tuscany, the serenity of the cypress trees, hours in front of the fireplace and the deeply nourishing food awakened not just my creativity but my senses. I began to see beauty in the simplest of pleasures and found a playful joy in exploring the layers of my own desires and feelings.

From this experience, the Solo Amore flag series was born—a celebration of the sensual connection to oneself, the humor and ambiguity of longing, and the quiet joy of fully inhabiting one’s body and emotions. These works carry a subtle playfulness and a deeply personal depth, reflecting the richness of embracing oneself fully.
